# SHIPPING POLICY

D1 Custom Apparel Inc. (DBA DayOne Custom Prints) ships custom Direct-to-Film (DTF) printed apparel throughout the United States and select international locations. This policy outlines our shipping procedures, timelines, costs, and your responsibilities.

## 1. PROCESSING TIME

### 1.1 Production Timeline
**Standard Production:** 7-14 business days from artwork approval

**Production begins AFTER:**
- Your order is placed and paid
- You approve the design proof (if applicable)
- We confirm artwork meets technical requirements

**Production time does NOT include:**
- Time waiting for your artwork approval
- Shipping/delivery time
- Weekends and holidays

### 1.2 What Affects Production Time
Production may take longer due to:
- High order volume (holidays, back-to-school season)
- Complex or large orders (25+ items)
- Artwork quality issues requiring revisions
- Material or supply shortages
- Equipment maintenance or technical issues

### 1.3 Rush Orders
**Available:** Yes, for additional fee

**Rush Options:**
- 3-5 business day production: +$25 per order
- 1-2 business day production: +$50 per order (when available)

**Rush Limitations:**
- Subject to availability
- Not available during peak seasons
- Minimum order size restrictions may apply
- Contact us to confirm rush availability before ordering

### 1.4 Business Days Defined
**Business Days:** Monday - Friday, excluding:
- Federal holidays
- Our designated closure days

**We do NOT count Saturdays, Sundays, or holidays as business days.**

## 2. SHIPPING METHODS AND CARRIERS

### 2.1 Available Shipping Options

**USPS First Class Mail**
- **Cost:** Calculated at checkout (typically $4.99-$7.99)
- **Delivery:** 3-5 business days after shipment
- **Tracking:** Yes
- **Insurance:** Not included
- **Best for:** 1-3 lightweight items

**USPS Priority Mail**
- **Cost:** Calculated at checkout (typically $8.99-$12.99)
- **Delivery:** 2-3 business days after shipment
- **Tracking:** Yes
- **Insurance:** Included up to $50
- **Best for:** Most orders

**UPS Ground**
- **Cost:** Calculated at checkout (typically $12.99-$19.99)
- **Delivery:** 3-5 business days after shipment
- **Tracking:** Yes
- **Insurance:** Included up to $100
- **Best for:** Larger orders, commercial addresses

**UPS 2nd Day Air**
- **Cost:** Calculated at checkout
- **Delivery:** 2 business days after shipment
- **Tracking:** Yes
- **Insurance:** Included up to $100
- **Best for:** Urgent orders

**UPS Next Day Air**
- **Cost:** Calculated at checkout
- **Delivery:** 1 business day after shipment

- **Insurance:** Included up to $100
- **Best for:** Emergency orders

### 2.2 Carrier Selection
- We select the most cost-effective and reliable carrier based on your location and order size
- You may request a specific carrier, but we cannot guarantee availability
- Shipping costs are calculated in real-time at checkout based on weight, size, and destination

### 2.3 Free Shipping
**Currently:** No free shipping threshold

**Promotional Periods:** We occasionally offer free shipping promotions
- Announced on website and social media
- May have minimum order requirements
- May exclude certain products or locations

## 3. SHIPPING COSTS

### 3.1 How Costs Are Calculated
Shipping costs are based on:
- **Package Weight:** Heavier orders cost more
- **Package Size:** Bulky items (hoodies, sweatshirts) cost more than t-shirts
- **Destination:** Farther distances cost more
- **Shipping Speed:** Faster delivery costs more
- **Carrier Rates:** We use real-time carrier pricing

### 3.2 Cost Display
- Exact shipping cost shown at checkout BEFORE you pay
- No hidden shipping fees
- What you see is what you pay

### 3.3 Multi-Item Orders
- Items ship together when possible to save you money
- If items ship separately, you only pay one shipping charge
- We absorb additional shipping costs for split shipments

## 4. DOMESTIC SHIPPING (U.S.)

### 4.1 Shipping Locations
We ship to all 50 U.S. states, including:
- Residential addresses
- Commercial/business addresses
- P.O. Boxes (USPS only)
- APO/FPO/DPO military addresses

Delivery to remote or rural areas may take additional time beyond the estimates above.

### 4.4 P.O. Boxes
- USPS shipping only (UPS/FedEx cannot deliver to P.O. Boxes)
- May take 1-2 days longer than residential delivery
- No signature required option available

### 4.5 APO/FPO/DPO Military Addresses
- USPS Priority Mail only
- Delivery times vary widely (7-21 days typical)
- We are not responsible for delays due to military mail processing
- Customs forms may be required
- Additional restrictions may apply

## 5. INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING

### 5.1 Availability
**Currently:** Limited international shipping

**Available Countries:**
- Canada
- United Kingdom
- Australia
- Select other countries (contact us to confirm)

### 5.2 International Shipping Costs
- Calculated at checkout based on destination
- Typically $25-$75 depending on location and order size
- Customer pays all shipping costs

### 5.3 International Delivery Times
- **Canada:** 7-14 business days
- **UK/Europe:** 10-21 business days
- **Australia/Asia:** 14-28 business days

**Important:** International delivery times are estimates only and not guaranteed.

### 5.4 Customs, Duties, and Taxes
**IMPORTANT - READ CAREFULLY:**

**You (the customer) are responsible for:**
- All customs duties
- All import taxes
- All brokerage fees
- Any other fees imposed by your country

**We are NOT responsible for:**
- Packages held in customs
- Customs clearance delays
- Refusal of package due to duties/taxes
- Additional fees charged by customs

**Before ordering internationally:**
- Research your country's import rules
- Understand you may owe additional fees upon delivery
- We cannot predict or estimate these fees
- We cannot mark packages as "gift" to avoid duties (illegal)
- We cannot under-declare package value (illegal)

### 5.5 Customs Declaration
We will accurately declare:
- Contents of package
- True value of merchandise
- Country of origin (USA)

### 5.6 Refused International Packages
If you refuse a package to avoid customs fees:
- We are not responsible for return shipping
- No refund will be issued
- Package may be destroyed by customs
- All fees incurred are your responsibility

## 6. SHIPPING ADDRESS

### 6.1 Your Responsibility
**You are responsible for providing an accurate, complete shipping address.**

**Address must include:**
- Full name (recipient)
- Street address (with apt/unit number if applicable)
- City
- State/Province
- ZIP/Postal Code
- Country (for international)
- Phone number (for delivery issues)

### 6.2 Address Verification
- We verify addresses through carrier systems before shipping
- If address is invalid or incomplete, we will contact you
- Shipment may be delayed until correct address is provided

### 6.3 Incorrect Addresses
**If you provide a wrong address:**
- We are NOT responsible for lost or misdirected packages
- We are NOT responsible for re-shipping fees
- You may be charged for address correction or re-shipment

**Address errors include:**
- Wrong street number or name
- Missing apartment/unit number
- Wrong city, state, or ZIP code
- Old address (if you moved)

### 6.4 Address Changes
**Before Shipment:**
- Email us immediately: contact@d1customprints.com
- We will update the address if production hasn't started
- May incur $5 address change fee

**After Shipment:**
- Contact the carrier directly with your tracking number
- We cannot change address once package is in transit
- Carrier may charge address change fees ($15-25 typical)

### 6.5 Undeliverable Addresses
If carrier cannot deliver to your address:
- Package will be returned to us
- You will be notified
- Options: corrected address re-ship (you pay shipping) or refund minus original shipping
- We are not responsible for carrier's determination of undeliverable addresses

## 7. TRACKING AND DELIVERY CONFIRMATION

### 7.1 Tracking Information
**All orders include tracking.**

- Tracking number emailed within 24 hours of shipment
- Track via carrier website using tracking number
- Track via link provided in shipping confirmation email

### 7.2 Tracking Updates
**Typical tracking milestones:**
1. Label Created (we've printed shipping label)
2. Picked Up by Carrier (package in carrier's possession)
3. In Transit (moving through carrier network)
4. Out for Delivery (on delivery truck that day)
5. Delivered (at your address)

**Note:** Tracking may not update immediately. Allow 24 hours for first scan.

### 7.3 Delivery Confirmation
- Packages are considered delivered when carrier marks them as "Delivered"
- Signature may or may not be required depending on shipping method and value
- Leave-at-door deliveries are at your risk

## 8. DELIVERY ISSUES

### 8.1 Package Shows Delivered But You Don't Have It

**First Steps:**
1. Check all possible delivery locations (porch, back door, garage, mailbox)
2. Ask household members if they accepted delivery
3. Check with neighbors
4. Look for delivery notice from carrier
5. Wait 24 hours (sometimes marked delivered early)

**If still missing after 24 hours:**
- Email us: contact@d1customprints.com with tracking number
- We will open a carrier investigation
- Investigation takes 7-10 business days
- If carrier confirms loss, we will replace or refund

**Important:**
- We are not responsible for stolen packages
- We recommend using a secure delivery location
- Consider requiring signature for high-value orders

### 8.2 Damaged Package
See our Refund Policy for damaged shipment procedures.

### 8.3 Delivery Delays
**Common causes:**
- Weather (snow, hurricanes, flooding)
- Carrier operational issues
- High package volume (holidays)
- Incorrect address
- Delivery attempt failures
- Customs delays (international)

**We are not responsible for carrier delays.**

If your package is significantly delayed:
- Contact us with tracking number
- We will contact carrier on your behalf
- File a claim if package is lost
- Investigate alternative solutions

### 8.4 Failed Delivery Attempts
If carrier cannot deliver after multiple attempts:
- Package may be returned to us
- Or held at carrier facility for pickup
- Check tracking for instructions
- Contact carrier directly to arrange pickup

## 9. ORDER TRACKING AND COMMUNICATION

### 9.1 Order Confirmation
When you place an order, you'll receive:

  - Items ordered
  - Shipping address
  - Estimated production time

### 9.2 Design Proof
If you requested design services:
- **Proof Email** (within 24-48 hours of order)
  - Digital preview of your design
  - Approval or revision request instructions
  - Production cannot start until you approve

### 9.3 Production Update
- **Production Started Email** (when production begins)
  - Confirmation artwork is approved
  - Estimated completion date
  - Reminder: estimated ship date

### 9.4 Shipping Notification
- **Shipping Confirmation Email** (when package ships)
  - Tracking number
  - Carrier name
  - Estimated delivery date
  - Link to track your package

### 9.5 Delivery Notification
- Many carriers also send delivery confirmation
- You may receive email/text from carrier when delivered

## 10. HOLIDAYS AND SHIPPING DELAYS

### 10.1 Holiday Closures
We are closed and do not ship on:
- New Year's Day
- Memorial Day
- Independence Day (July 4th)
- Labor Day
- Thanksgiving Day
- Christmas Day

**Orders placed during holidays:**
- Will be processed the next business day
- Production timelines extended by closure days

### 10.2 Holiday Shipping Deadlines
**Order early for holiday delivery!**

We will post specific holiday deadlines on our website and social media for:
- Thanksgiving
- Christmas
- New Year's
- Valentine's Day
- Mother's Day
- Father's Day
- Back to School

**Miss the deadline?**
- Rush production may be available (additional fee)
- No guaranteed delivery dates
- We cannot guarantee holiday arrival if ordered after deadline

### 10.3 Peak Season Delays
During peak seasons, expect:
- Production times at maximum (14 business days)
- Carrier delays common
- Longer customer service response times

**Peak Seasons:**
- November - December (holidays)
- August - September (back to school)
- Sports team season starts

## 11. SHIPPING INSURANCE

### 11.1 Included Insurance
Some shipping methods include insurance:
- USPS Priority: $50
- UPS Ground: $100
- UPS Air: $100

### 11.2 Additional Insurance
**Available:** Yes, for high-value orders

**Cost:** Approximately 1-2% of merchandise value

**Coverage:** Full replacement value

**How to add:**
- Email us before shipping
- We'll provide insurance cost quote
- Add to your order total

**Recommended for orders over $200**

### 11.3 Claims Process
If package is lost or damaged:
1. We file claim with carrier (you don't have to)
2. Provide photos of damage if applicable
3. Carrier investigates (7-14 days)
4. If approved: we replace or refund
5. If denied: we work with you on resolution

## 12. SHIPMENT SPLITTING

### 12.1 When Orders May Ship Separately
We may split shipments if:
- Part of order is ready before the rest
- Items sourced from different suppliers
- Weight/size restrictions require multiple boxes
- More cost-effective to split shipment

### 12.2 Cost of Split Shipments
- **You only pay one shipping charge**
- We absorb additional shipping costs
- You'll receive multiple tracking numbers

### 12.3 Delivery Timing
- Split shipments may arrive on different days
- All tracking numbers sent via email
- All items usually arrive within same week

## 13. COMMERCIAL/BUSINESS DELIVERY

### 13.1 Business Address Shipping
**Advantages:**
- Often faster delivery
- Loading dock access
- Easier for large orders
- Carrier may waive signature requirement

**Requirements:**
- Include business name in shipping address
- Provide business phone number
- Ensure someone available to receive during business hours

### 13.2 Residential Surcharge
Some carriers charge residential delivery fees:
- UPS/FedEx: $3-5 per package
- Added automatically at checkout
- We don't control these fees

**To avoid residential surcharge:**
- Ship to your business address
- Some carriers still charge it regardless

## 14. LOST PACKAGE POLICY

### 14.1 Definition of Lost
A package is considered lost if:
- No tracking updates for 14+ days (domestic)
- No tracking updates for 30+ days (international)
- Carrier confirms package is lost

### 14.2 Our Process
1. You contact us about missing package
2. We verify tracking shows issue
3. We contact carrier to investigate
4. Carrier investigates (7-14 days)
5. If confirmed lost: we replace or refund

### 14.3 Replacement vs. Refund
**Your choice:**
- **Replacement:** We reproduce your order (same production time applies)
- **Refund:** Full refund including shipping

### 14.4 No Fault of Ours
We are not responsible for lost packages, but we will:
- Work with carrier on your behalf
- File all necessary claims
- Pursue all available remedies
- Make it right for you when possible

- UPS typically 1-2 days

- Rate based on your delivery address
- State law requires us to collect
